Wish Upon a Star Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
You get a 5×3 grid in the Wish Upon a Star slot, and like Megaways slots, it covers all possible winning ways. As is the case with most online slots, you need at least 3 matching symbols on a payline to create a win.
There’s a decent upper limit for stakes in the Wish Upon a Star slot game, at £200 per spin. Unfortunately, the minimum stake is quite high at 25p, which could put off low-budget users. Like many new slots, it uses a control panel at the bottom of the screen, making it straightforward to start spinning. There’s an autoplay function, but you can’t use it if you’re playing at a UK online casino.

Novomatic/Greentube has done a decent job with the Wish Upon a Star theme. You typically can’t go wrong with Christmas, and they’ve hit all the tropes here. While I normally want to see new and innovative themes, Christmas is the one exception. I don’t think changing it up would work, as people have expectations with Christmas games. All the visuals match these expectations, and they’re bright and colourful too.
The music is a bit of a letdown at Wish Upon a Star casinos. You don’t get music playing, meaning you miss out on Christmas tunes, and the sounds only pick up when you spin the reels. While I like the visuals, the sounds don’t offer the same level of quality.

Wish Upon a Star Mobile Slot
There’s no change from the desktop version to the Wish Upon a Star mobile slot. It retains the same visual quality, overall lack of sounds, and the control scheme is the same. If you enjoy the game, it’s a solid way to play.

Wish Upon a Star Verdict: Not on the Level of Other Christmas Games
Wish Upon a Star has a couple of nice features, but overall, it’s lacking. The maximum win is well below expectations, there’s hardly any sound, and the RTP is too low. Even though the gameplay is okay, it doesn’t make up for these issues.
