The Bubblegum and Robo slot game recycles the VS Wild multiplier mechanic and gives it some fresh touches. But if you’re looking for something more novel, this isn’t one I’d recommend.

Pros

• The theme is brilliantly executed

• The gameplay lacks originality
• The visuals don’t look the best in portrait mode
• Free spins cannot be retriggered

Personally, the Bubblegum and Robo slot comes in as a much-needed breather from Play’n GO’s unending Moon Princess series in the manga genre. Although the junkyard setting is refreshing, it didn’t quite grow on me. Maybe Play’n GO’s cookie-cutter franchise has drained all the spark I once had for this theme.

On the technical side, the gameplay doesn’t break new ground. We’ve seen the same VS symbol formula in Hacksaw Gaming’s Wanted Dead or a Wild, and honestly, this one feels more like a reskin. Even with some subtle twists like spawning random Wilds and multiplier upgrades, the experience largely remains the same.

On the upside, the max payout of 20,000x the bet is a solid one. With the help of the sticky Wild reel and potential to upgrade their multiplier values, you can shoot for the prize during the bonus round.
